She was predeceased by: her parents, Milburn Crockett White and Rosa Maude White Shaw; her brothers, Homer and Emory White; her stepfather Ellis C. Shaw; and her stepsister Marie Shaw.
She is survived by: her husband Randolph Brooks; her nieces, Pamela Dixon, Peggy Irvin, Patricia Furr, Gina Wilson and Rebecca Andree; and her nephew Emory Carl White Jr..
