She was predeceased by: her parents, Mae Fern Ball Akers and Frank Akers; her daughter Michelle Balentine (Evans); and her brothers, Ferrell Ray McKinney and Freddie Akers.
She is survived by: her children, Annette Carroll (Mike) of Carrollton, TX, Rod Evans (Krista) of Chapmanville, WV and Bo Evans (Angie Hunt) of Laurel Creek, WV; her siblings, Faye Callaway (Harry) of Lagrange, OH, Donna Starkey of Granberry, TX, Bobby Akers (Fayetta) of Richmond, VA, Harold Akers (Steve Freeman) of Columbus, OH, Marty Akers and Frankie Akers of Ohio; her grandchildren, Alexandra Durham (Stephen), Brittany Balentine, Austin Evans, Gavin Wood, Brooklyn Evans and Stephanie Fugate; and her great grandchildren, Trent Sipple, Hunter Durham, Granger Durham, Isabella Bryant, Brantley Peacock, Kymber Moneiiere and Major Fugate.
