He was predeceased by: his parent Amey Elswick; his former wife Reba Elswick (Brumfield); his wife Amanda Elswick (Pennington); and his siblings, Aster Elswick (Pat), Lucille Mullins (Horace), Billie Carte (Paul), Mabel Hatfield (Marrow) and Bess Klele (Albert).
He is survived by: his stepsons, John Patterson (Lola) of Ashland, Randy Patterson (Pat) of Logan, WV and Fred Patterson (Rose) of Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Melanie Webster, David Elswick, Seth Ferrell, Orion Wills, Eli Wills, Amanda Patterson, Henry Patterson, Timothy Webb and Michael Riddle. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests that donations be made to your local Lion's Club or Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Montgomery, WV.
