He was predeceased by: his parents, Odal Adkins and Ada Adkins; his siblings, Ada Elaine Maynard, Russel Adkins and Bobby Adkins; and his brother-in-law Dell Balentine.
He is survived by: his wife Anita Adkins; his children, Randall Adkins (Sherri) and Becky Dingess (Randy); his grandchildren, Cody Dingess (Destiny), Tanner Adkins, Patrick Callaway (Sierra), Trevor Adkins and Autumn Adkins; and his siblings, Delores Balentine, Gail Gullet (Benny) and Donald Adkins (Gladys). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends, as well as his very beloved pet.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Akers-James Funeral Home (832 Old Logan Rd, Logan, WV 25601). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (169 Forest Lawn Cemetery Rd, Pecks Mill, WV 25547).
