She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex Williams and Georgia Bryant Williams; her former husband Smith Vance; her children, Marlin Hodge, Tonya Thompson and Bertha Hodge; and her siblings, Charles Bryant, Dixie Crum and Melda Bryant.
She is survived by: her husband William "Tom" Sheppard of Logan, WV; her children, Kenneth Thompson of Sylvester, WV and Georgia Dillon (Joseph) of Kermit, WV; her grandchildren, Chasity McCoy (Jakob), Heather Thompson (Shawn), Christina Hunt (Leroy), Austin Dillon, Jordan Dillon and Josh Dillon; her great grandchildren, Timothy Spaulding and Jameson Hunt; and her brothers, Dennis Bryant, James Bryant, Wade Bryant and Billy Bryant. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home, Inc. (220 Main St, Chapmanville, WV 25508). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
