He was predeceased by: his father Donald Vance; and his aunt Silvia Williamson. He is survived by: his mother Stella Vance (Williamson); his daughter Dara Lynn Vance of Michigan; his uncles, John Williamson of Dingess, Benny Williamson (Marsha) of Dingess, Rudy Williamson (Janice) of Chapmanville, WV and Andrew Williamson Jr. (Muriel) of Michigan; and his aunt Minnie Rice.
