He was predeceased by: his parent Burgess Mathis; and his sisters, Agnes Bryant, Darlene Hatten and Iva Lola Mathis. He is survived by: his parent Genet Duncan Mathis; his daughters, Marsha Denise Ramirez of Arizona, Vanessa Dale Mathis of Arizona and Vicki Lynn Lalande (Daniel) of Arizona; his grandchildren, Carla Denise Ramirez, Olivia Rocha (Love Bug), Robert Rocha, Jodi Burner, Joe Burner Jr., Justin Warren Lalande and Shelby Morgan Lalande; and his siblings, Pat Frye, Vida Bowling, Roger Mathis and Doug Adkins. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
