He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Freeman and Ada Mae Dickenson (Perry); his grandson Tom Goins; and his siblings, Bob Dickenson and Shirley Dickenson Sansom.
He is survived by: his wife LaVerne Dickenson (Lively); his children, Terrie Goins (Barney) of Logan, Dianna Runyon (Wayne) of Garrett's Fork, WV and David Dickenson (Cathy) of Duncan, SC.; his grandchildren, Kara Thayer (Jamie), Amy Goins, Brian Dickenson (Breanne), Lisa Doty (Kenny), Blake, Aden and Jacob Runyon; his great grandchildren, Jessica, Christian, Colin, Alexa, Nevaeh, Kayla, Braydon, Brett, Austin, Tristan, Reagan and Kalan; and his great great grandchild Mason.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and the Governor's Guidelines regarding large gatherings, only 25 persons may be allowed in the facility at one time and social distancing and face coverings are required.
