He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Mounts and Shirley Mounts; his son Donald Paul Albright II; and his siblings, Teddie R Mounts, John Mounts Sr., Joe Mounts, William Mounts, Milton Mounts, Dorothy Fouch and Dorine Ott.
Credited for saving so many lives, he received the Sam Channel Award from the governor of West Virginia as well as a life-time achievement award for his dedication and contribution to the EMS community.
