Carol J. Wood Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol J. Wood (Logan, West Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 24, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Edward J. Wood; and her parents, Challis Workman and Dova Workman of Chapmanville. She is survived by: her sister Wilma Zigmond (Kenneth) of Mitchell Heights; her niece Kendra Schilling (Jon) of Scott Depot; her nephew Kenny Zigmond (Natalie) of Winfield; and her great-nieces, Kennedy, Sydney Schilling, Kenlie and Kallie Zigmond.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Akers-James Funeral Home (832 Old Logan Rd, Logan, WV 25601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Logan or Hungry Lambs Food Initiative 622 Stratton Street Logan, WV 25601 in Carol's memory.
