He was predeceased by: his parents, Winford Townsend and Gladys Townsend. He is survived by: his wife Amy Townsend; his children, Berbin Jr. Townsend (Sis) of Logan and Brandi Bryant (Aaron Burgess) of Chapmanville; his grandsons, Austin Townsend (Laken) of Logan, Trey McFadden (Taylor) of Hurricane, Diesel and Brody Bryant; his great grandchildren, Hayden Townsend, Asher Townsend and Alice Townsend; and his siblings, David Townsend (Diana) of Logan and Brenda Brewer (Robert) of Logan. He is also survived by his brother, nephews, and friends.

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and the Governor's guidelines for large gatherings only 25 people will be allowed in the facility at one time.
