He was predeceased by: his parents, John Junior and Garnett Smarr (Stout); his brother Murl Smarr; and his siblings-in-law, Dora Smarr and Johnnie Townsend.
He is survived by: his granddaughters, Brittany Butcher (Matthew) of Weston, WV, Kelly Lowther of Weston, WV and Lindsey Harrison (Logan) of Camden, WV; and his great grandchildren, Jayce, Gemma Butcher, Brent Harrison and Olivia Conrad. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many other wonderful family and friends.
