He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Phillips and Jewel Wills Phillips Sr.; and his brothers, John Phillips and Lanny Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Gerry Martin Phillips; his children, Robert Phillips Jr. of Berea, KY, Christopher Phillips of Draper, VA and Jewel Ann Phillips Ramsey of Lindside; his grandchildren, Bethany, Megan, Micaela Joshua, Noah, Addyson, Macallister, Jackson and Charlotte; his great grandchildren, Avery, Ryker and Emmett; and his sisters, Lida Phillips Flaim (Robin) of Smithfield, VA and April Phillips Comer of Wikel, WV..
