He was predeceased by: his parents, William Walter Cousins and Mable Lena (Nalley); his siblings, Raymond, Conard Cousins and Mildred Cousins; his son Timothy Wayne Cousins; and his former wife Hattie Mae Jackson.
He is survived by: his children, Walter P. Cousins-Patterson (Carol D.), Gregory Blaine Cousins (Maricar) of Newport News, Michael Leroy Cousins of Thomasville, NC., Gail Inez Walker (Toni) of Virginia Beach, Teresa Monique Cousins (Brian Oaksford) and Elizabeth Ann Jackson-Crutchfield (Marshall) of Durham, NC.; and his wife Delois. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
