She was predeceased by: her parents, Virle Harper and Phyllis Juanita Pyles Hamrick; and her sister Ann Harper Hamrick. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Lee Banton; her sons, Jerry Harper Banton (Teresa) of Conover, NC and Richard Alan Banton (Stephanie) of Reston, VA; her sister Virginia Adair McClung (Glen Allen) of Hurricane, WV; her grandchildren, Mychal, Cameron Gillespie, Maya and Jamison Banton; her great grandchildren, Ella Gillespie, Asher Gillespie and Bennett Gillespie; and her nephews, G. A. McClung II (Kim) and Nelson McClung (Sara). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, numerous cousins and several friends.
