She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie Brown Deaver and Basil Dillon; and her husband W. G. "Sonny" Burns. She is survived by: her children, Karen Callen of Lewisburg, WV, Cynthia Vodenik (Scottie) of Laurinburg, NC and William G. Burns of Felton, Delaware; her grandchildren, Steven Callen, Jacob Callen (Courtney) of Morgantown, WV, Mike Burns, Sara Burns of Lewisburg, Caitlyn Heglar and Chad Heglar of Johnson City, TN; and her great grandchildren, Marley Hopson, Liam Burns, Collins Callen and Jacobi Callen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
