He was predeceased by: his parents, Dora Wilt and Claude Ickes; and his siblings, Arlene Mangham, Harry Saylor and Gene Ickes.
He is survived by: his significant other Jean Louise Engel Ickes; his sons, Lee Allen Ickes, Jr., Larry Ickes (Katie) of Lewisburg, WV and Brian Ickes of Howard, OH; his grandchildren, Caroline Keating (Ben) of Austin, Andrew Ickes (Brandi) of Lewisburg, WV, Dr. Annie Ickes of Roanoke, VA, Mary Claire Warden (Caleb), David Ickes of Lewisburg, WV, Elizabeth Ickes, Sarah Ickes and Joe Ickes of Cincinnati, OH; and his great grandchildren, Graham, Laine, Leigh Ickes of Lewisburg, WV and Javier Keating of Austin, TX. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
