It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Huberta Ann Lightner of Lewisburg, West Virginia, born in Marlinton, West Virginia, who passed away on January 24, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Hubert B. Slaven and Mary Wilson Slaven Geddings; her daughters, Michelle "Missy" Ligthner of Lewisburg, Mary Lightner of Lewisburg and Karen Sue O'Brien (Marty) of Lewisburg; her siblings, Connie Hudson of Ronceverte, Edgar Slaven (Sarah) of Ronceverte and Robert Slaven (Karen) of Ronceverte; and her granddaughter Dr. Sara Blankenship (Nathan Dixon) of Athens. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19, a memorial service will be scheduled for a later date to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local food pantry in Huberta's memory.
