He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Ellis and Margery Holstein Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Mitzi Deneé Hatley Ellis; his children, Mike Ellis (Amy) of Beckley, WV, Jeff Ellis (Tina) of Fayetteville, NC, Kristin D. Shockey (Mike) of Frankford, WV and Chelsea Ellis (Nick Dorsey) of Tennessee; his cousin Peggy Wenrick of New Carlisle, OH; and his close friend Mac. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, many great grandchildren.
