He was predeceased by: his parents, Florey Lewis and Eunice Compton Bucklen; his wife Betty Marie Fitzwater Bucklen; and his brother Arnold Vernon Bucklen. He is survived by: his sons, Larry Bucklen (Terri), Vernon Bucklen (Sandy) and David Bucklen (Sonya); and his grandchildren, Britney LaFon, Steve Henne (Carlota), Ashley Bucklen (David), Tiffany Bennett (Alan), Christopher Bucklen (CeCe) and Shawn Bucklen. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; two nieces; and a nephew.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home (252 Montvue Dr, Lewisburg, WV 24901). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
