She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Edgar and Margaret Lula Roach Burns; her husband George Simmons; and her siblings, Sidney Burns and Helen Ann Burns.
She is survived by: her children, Ray Simmons (Annette) of Frankford, WV, Paul Simmons of Lewisburg, WV and Margaret Ann Carver (Mark) of Lewisburg, WV; her sister Phyllis Burns of Lewisburg, WV; her grandchildren, Lakene Bostic, Cameron Simmons (Lindsey), Dustin Simmons, Madeline Carver, Mason Carver, Damion Simmons and Noel Ryder; her great grandchild Jordan Simmons; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Burns of Mt. Hope, WV, Martha Colleran of Michigan and Nora Lee Finney of Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Peyton Hospice House – 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
