He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Kidd Nester; his parents, Addie Nester (Adeline) and Frank Nester; his siblings, Leonard Nester, Geraldine Justice and Martha Morris; his nephew Jimmy Nester; his former wife Lola Lively Nester; and his pet Jake.
He is survived by: his close friend Allied Controls Co; his children, Pamela Bowling (John) of Princeton, Patti Ford (Rich) of Lewisburg, Daniel Nester (Betty) of Jackson Springs, NC and David Hazlett (Jeannie) of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Greg Bowling, Lynn Parrish (Chris), Michael Bowling (Stephanie), Grady Ford (Jocelyn), Jay Ford (Elizabeth) and Scott Hazlett (Michelle); his great grandchildren, Shiloh, Kama and Emersyn Parrish; his grandchildren, Adeline, Elliot Bowling, Hazel, Ruby Ford, Dalton and Emma Hazlett; his pet Buddy; and his caregiver Krissy McClung.
