We are sad to announce that on December 24, 2024, at the age of 77, Aubrey L. Hanson of Lewisburg, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Aubrey may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lacy and Goldie Arretta Taylor Hanson; and his sister Audrey Hanson Billos. He is survived by: his wife Donna Sue Napier Hanson; his niece Lisa Kay Abbott (Jay) of Blacksburg, VA; his nephew Stacy Billos of Greensboro, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Napier, Diana Shafer (David), Joyce Clendenin (Roger), Marie Napier and John Napier (Sharon). He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home (252 Montvue Dr, Lewisburg, WV 24901). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
