She was predeceased by: her parents, James Dorman and Evva Belle Hannah Shelton; her husband Edward Allen Vass; and her siblings, Regina Rhea and Allie Cook.
She is survived by: her sons, Ed Vass, Jr. (Linda) of Ronceverte, Jamie Vass (Robyn) of Woodbridge and Doug Vass (Jill) of Annandale, VA; and her grandchildren, Emma Vass, Lucy Vass and Lucas Vass.
