He is survived by: his sisters, Dorthy, Norma and Lois; his wife Carolyn Merritt; his sons, Donald Glen Merritt Jr. (Janice), Brett Merritt (Marie) and Jason Merritt (Mary Beth); his grandchildren, Rebecca Brumfield (Chris), Andrew Merritt (Jessie), Sarah Bethany Baxley (Caleb), Kyle Merritt (Tasha), Ethan Merritt (Sara), Bryce Merritt (Courtney), Justin Merritt (Emily) and Madeline Merritt (Parker); and his great grandchildren, Walker, Brooks Brumfield, Astrid Merritt, Della Mae, Ambrose Baxley, Amaia, Oliver, Molly and Jack Merritt. He is also survived by his family and friends.
