Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Danny Lee Owen (Lerona, West Virginia), who passed away at the age of 85, on December 15, 2024. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Earl Owen and Louise White Owen; his half-brother Larry Owen; and his son-in-law Tim Spangler. He is survived by: his wife Delores Jean Hill (Muffet); his children, Jerry Owen (Christine), Sonny Owen (Karen) and Sherri Russell (Roger); his stepchildren, Terri Corprew, Drema Spangler and Tammy Scarbrough (David); his siblings, Robert Owen (Bobby) and Jackie Owen; his half-brother Mike Owen; and his pets, Nosey and Twinkle Toes. He is also survived by Six grandchildren; Six great-grandchildren; Seven step-grandchildren; Ten step-great-grandchildren; Several nieces, nephews and his church family.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lerona United Methodist Church (6731 Hinton Rd, Lerona, WV 25971). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be sent to Bowers Hospice House of Southern WV, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801.
