He is survived by: his wife Connie Carey; his children, Damon "Max" Carey of Crown City, Nathan Lucas Carey of Athens and Nicole Pugh (Chip); his grandchildren, Rory and Regan of Cookeville, Tenn.; his siblings, Cynthia Dye (Dave) of Dunbar, W. V and Andrew Carey (Diane) of Cross Lanes, W. V; his stepson Andrew Hooker (Leilei); and his stepgrandson Victor of California.
