He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Donald Smith and Romaine Davis Workman; and his brother Eddie Lee Smith. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Lynn Blair Smith; his children, Amanda McGuire (Dave) of Rector, AR, Angela Dickerson (Zack) of Lavalette, Amy Vance of Wayne, Larry Ray Smith (Carrie) of Ashland, KY, Christopher Vance (Felicia) of Wayne, Garnett Vance (Britney) of Branchland, WV and John Sloan of Huntington; and his siblings, Debbie Webb (Dale) of Gallipolis, OH, Wanda Fortner (Donnie) of Ironton, OH, Rachel Bryan (Gary) of Crown City, OH and Michael Workman (Bambi) of New Haven, WV. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, family and friends.
