He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo Plybon and Fannie Adkins Plybon; and his siblings, Cleo Jr., Bill, Frank, Jackie, Don Plybon, Rebecca McComas, JoAnn Adkins and Karen Dixon.

He is survived by: his wife Sally Waugh Plybon; his daughter Bobbi Jo Sharp; his grandchildren, Sophia and Lilah Sharp; his stepgrandchildren, Nathan, Lacey Ramsey and Addison Mooney; his siblings, Bob (Cheryl Plybon), Rosie Leep (Danny) and Linda Plybon; and his brothers-in-law, Mike Powell and Billy Damron.
