He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Franklin and Kathleen Franklin of Mullens; and his parents-in-law, Cecil and Arrettia Weaver of Mullens Hinton. He is survived by: his wife Doncia; his children, Michael, Douglas and Debbie Patrick (Robert) of Lashmeet; his grandchildren, Jamey (Paula), Benjamin (Kassie), Jeremy Patrick (Ally) and Heather Franklin; his daughter Kim Beggs Salmon; his sister Kathryn Cumby Kelly; and also Twila. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
