He was predeceased by: his parents, William Joseph and Kathleen Della Kerrigan (Spence); his wife Nylene Kerrigan; and his sister Marguerite Forrest. He is survived by: his siblings, Kathleen B. Kerrigan of Morgantown, Suzanne E. Kerrigan of Somerset, PA, Victoria E. Wharton (James) of Fairmont, Mary M. Herwig (Randy) of Somerset, PA and Michael S. Kerrigan of Cheat Lake; and his close friend Pamela A. McCauley. He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews.
