She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Uphold, Sr. and Lela Mae Uphold (Lipscomb); her husband David Lloyd Howell; and her siblings, John Uphold, Howard "Bob" Uphold, Jr., Ruby Strahin and Sharon Lea Uphold.
She is survived by: her children, Marcia Howell of Kingwood and Sam Howell (Cassie) of Tunnelton; her grandchildren, Jacob Howell (Haley France) of Fairmont and Emily Howell of Morgantown; her brother Fred Uphold (Linda) of Kingwood; her sister-in-law Ronda Uphold of Albright; her niece Connie Hillary; her great-niece Bethany Taylor; and her close friends, Sandra Bowmar, Wanda Layton, Becky Robinson, Sue Bishop, Patty Jones, Billy Sisler, Bruce and Betsy Castle.
