He was predeceased by: his parents, Neil D Garlits and Gertrude L. Nickolson Garlits; his wife Louise Catherine Greathouse Garlits; his parents-in-law, Catherine and Kermit Greathouse; and his brothers, Rudolph and Glen Garlits.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Garlits Shrout (Roger) and Gary Garlits (Vanessa) of Kingwood; his grandchildren, Michele Ware Hayes, Tracey Ware (Shelley), Kristy Garlits Ash, Mike, Jeromy Garlits (Jenny), Jason Garlits (Holly), Courtney Shrout Swisher and Josh of Fellowsville; and his great great grandchildren, Laurel, Ember Shaffer, Willow Bolyard and Clay Ash.
