He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Kirk and Helen Kirk (Riley); his sister Dortha Pratt; his brother-in-law Blake Pratt; his nephew Robert Pratt; and his sister-in-law Patricia 'Pat Mason.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn 'Kathy Kirk; his children, Robert Lewis Lightner of Morgantown, WV, Nicholas E Kirk (Kaleigh) of Reedsville, WV and Larissa B Kirk (Angela Walls) of Fairmont, WV.; his grandchildren, Tara Grinnan of Fairmont, Lorelai, Elliette Kirk of Reedsville, Camden and Koven Lightner of Morgantown; and his siblings-in-law, Donna Lamb (Bob), Charlotte Collier (Tom) and Herman Mason. He is also survived by many cousins and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Preston County Humane Society or to plant a tree in his memory.
