He is survived by: his siblings, Margaret Hinkle (Firman) of Carlisle, PA and Gregory Moody (Lisa) of Elkins; his brother-in-law Woody Kesecker (Connie) of Keyser, WV; his sons, Michael Schmidlen (Valerie) of Grand Junction, CO, Mark Shawn Schmidlen of Erie, CO, Thomas Moore (Janice) of Ridgeley, WV and Michael Moore (Susan) of Davenport, FL; his grandchildren, Lauren, Morgan, Tara, Eric Schmidlen, Alex, Allison, Kirsten Moore, Allen and Nathan Strzelczyk; his nieces and nephews, Stephen, Denise Hinkle, Michael Moody and Denise Spratt; his great grandchild Ava Aumiller; and his friend Ann Heck of Smithsburg, MD..
In lieu of flowers, the family also suggests that memorial donations be made in his honor to either St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, or to Rees Chapel United Methodist Church/ or the First United Methodist Church.
