He was predeceased by: his parents, John Jackson and Nellie Victoria Aronhalt (Biggs); his wife Norma Jean Aronhalt (Close); his children, Diane, Beckie Aronhalt, Randy, Rusty and David Aronhalt; his grandson James Parrill; his great grandchild Joshua Ross; and his siblings, Susanna Durst, Sarah Parrish, Mabel Bates, Lulu Kitzmiller, Walter (Edgar), Harry, Robert and Vincent (Oliver Aronhalt).
He is survived by: his children, Vernon "Scratch" Aronhalt (Beckie) of Elk Garden, Gary "Pooch" Aronhalt of Elk Garden, Terry "Fox" Aronhalt (Ellen) of Elk Garden, Kevin "Chip" Aronhalt of Elk Garden, Debbie Sites (Gary) of Keyser, Kathy Parrill (Chip) of Keyser, Angela Aronhalt of Keyser, Kay McRobie (Kevin) of Elk Garden and Mabel "Sissy" Pancake (Larry "Flapjack") of New Creek, WV; and his sister Lillian Taylor of Perry, OH. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
