He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Sutherland and Maxine R. Sutherland (Rotruck); his brother Fred Sutherland; and also, Barbara and Patrick Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. Sutherland (Bauer); his children, Diana L. Sutherland (Sherri), Shirley A. Rinker (Randy), Ronald W. "Bubbie" Sutherland, Jr. and Donna M. Sears (Jeff) of Rawlings, MD; his siblings, Roger Sutherland (Joanne) of Fredericksburg, VA and Brenda Linton of Keyser; and his grandchildren, Cassandra Rinker, Kierstin Custer, Cheyenne Ganoe (John), Shyloe Marker (Dylan), Gabbie Sutherland, Andrew Haines (Katie), Evan Haines (Kerri), Brandon Sears and Justin Sear.
The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
