He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Floyd and Inez Roby (Crabtree); his aunt Lee; his uncle Laurie O'Haver; his wife Carolyn Sue Roby (Faulk); and his siblings, Daniel Roby and Margaret "Janie" Parker.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard David Roby, Jr. (Tammy), Jeffrey S. Roby (Karen) and Michael Todd Roby (Mary Roby); his sisters, Billie "Dolly" Parker and Cleo Sullivan; his grandchildren, Amanda Roby, Marcus Roby, Kourtni Roby, Jeffrey S. Roby II and Michaela Roby; and his great grandchildren, Rachel Bacorn, Jenna Grace Bacorn, Logan Roby Roudybush, Makenzie Sue Roudybush and Aubrey Roby.
