He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Clay and Florence Clay (Rohrbach); his wife Mary Jean Clay (McNeill); and his sisters, Patricia Morgan, Winifred Prines and Alice Hedrick.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Ann "Pat" Clay and Scott M. Clay (Anna Mae); his grandchild Kathyrn Fisher (Sam); his great grandchildren, Elijah, Josiah, Judah Fisher and Morgan Clay (Shana); and also, Nathaniel and Andrew Clay. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
