It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marlene Koontz of Keyser, West Virginia, who passed away on April 29, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Dean and Uris A. Broome (Runion); her husband James E. Koontz, Sr.; and her siblings, Howard Broome, Robert Broome, Betty Bolyard, Wanda Cross, Lillian Bolyard and Sue Rogers.
She is survived by: her children, JimMara Evans (Koontz) and James Koontz, Jr. (Patsy); her grandchildren, Matthew Duling (Jessica) of Morgantown, WV, Rachel Rumer (Jeremy) of Petersburg, WV, Christina Koontz and Tyler Evans of Scherr, WV; her great grandchildren, Isaac, Syndey Rumer, Elijah, Lex Duling and Kenley Evans; and her sister Ethel Siebert of Urbanna, VA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the current health concerns, all guests are required to wear face masks and exercise social distancing at all time.
