It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Levonna Mae Purinton (Keyser, West Virginia), born in Brandywine, West Virginia, who passed away on May 5, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mervin L. Smith and Bessie Mae Smith (Hoover); her husband Edward Allen Purinton; her daughter Elizabeth Ann Purinton; her grandchildren, Patricia, Christine Thomas and Jeremy Purinton; her son-in-law George Mitchell; and her siblings, Neda Jordan, Roger Smith, Mervin "Bud" Smith, Jr., James Ronald Smith and Walter Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce Thomas (John) of New Creek, WV, Robert Allen Purinton of Dawson, MD, Debra Kae Byrd (Richard) of Petersburg, WV, Brenda Mitchell of Keyser and Dianne Feaster (Thomas) of Rawlings, MD; her grandchildren, Tara Chaney, Jessica Purinton, Whitney Purinton, Michelle Johnson, Jeff Greco, Bailee Mitchell and Joshua Mitchell; and her sisters, Donna Jean Klosterman of Sulphur, LA, Virginia Pitsenbarger of Fort Seybert, WV and Susan Riggleman of Keymont, WV. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
