He is survived by: his former wife Mary Scheermesser of Kingsville, MD; his son Scott Scheermesser of Philadelphia, PA; and his stepchildren, Charlotte Berg of Winchester, VA, Bob Emery of Virginia, Oleta Stutzman of Seymour, TN, Wallace Emery of Pfafftown, NC and Greg Emery of North Carolina.
