With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jerry Lee Via of Keyser, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 11, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Benny Via and Louise W. Via (Thurston); and his siblings, Betty Paige, Shirley Aronhalt, Gloria Doll, June Pennington, Benny Via, Tom Via, Kerry Via and Norman Via (David Via).
He is survived by: his girlfriend Sharon Winkler; his children, Jeanette Jackson of New Creek, WV, David Kerns of Keyser, Faye Winkler of Tazewell, VA, Paul Winkler, Dawn of Keyser, Becky Winkler of Cumberland, MD, Eddie Winkler of Keyser and Tyler Winkler (Julie Lancaster) of Midland, MD; and his sisters, Sue Blizzard of Keyser, Joyce Oates of Baltimore, MD, Donna Pancake (Charles) of New Creek and Sharon Paugh of Keyser. He is also survived by 20 Grandchildren and 21 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel (85 S Main St, Keyser, WV 26726).
