We are sad to announce that on December 15, 2020, at the age of 74, James R. Gaiter Sr. of Keyser, West Virginia, born in Petersburg, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Mary Elizabeth Gaiter; his grandparents, Solomon O. and Mabel Gaiter (Redman); his former wife Wille Mae Gaiter (Mouzan) of Manning, SC; his son James Roger Gaiter, Jr. (Carolynn W. Gaiter) of Goose Creek, SC; his granddaughter Jasmine Nicole Gaiter; his stepgrandsons, Kendell, Miquel and Joseph Wilson; and his aunt Suellen Clay of New Creek, WV.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, visitation and services will be private for the family; however the funeral service will be live streamed on the Smith Funeral Homes Facebook page beginning at 1:00 p. m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.
