He was predeceased by: his parents, Hollie Dale and Naomi Ruth Arthur (Gordon); his stepmother Wanda Arthur (Lancaster); his former wife Rosalie Arthur (Turbin); his wife Jackie G. Arthur (Fortney); his children, Laurie A. Nelson (Kenny) of Romney, WV, John J. Arthur (Alicia) of Walterboro, SC and Corrina L. Arthur (Todd Mellotte) of Keyser; his grandchildren, Nae Robert "Robbie" Paugh, III, Renae Paugh, John J. Arthur, Jr., Jason L. Tasker, II and Haley Tasker; his great grandchildren, Garrett Chiarizia and Ryleigh Lemon; and also, Stacy Arthur and John Dale Arthur.
He is survived by: his sisters, Reba Deremer of Barton, MD and Patty Droppleman of New Creek, WV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home ~ Keyser Chapel (85 S Main St, Keyser, WV 26726). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
