She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Garland and Ella Garland (Price); her husband Charles E. Hines; her son Charles Edward "Bubby" Hines; her siblings, Ada Majors, Pearl Kager and James Garland; and her grandson Brandon Coleman.
She is survived by: her children, Langston Hines (Katy) of Florida and Deonne Boyce (John) of Keyser; her adoptive children, Joey Major (Donna) and Shana of Washington; her brother Leon Garland; and her grandchildren, Chasity Richardson (Justin), Lindsey Hines, Langston Hines II, Seth Coleman, Shannon Bell (Michael), Destiny Boyce, John Derek Boyce Jr. Joshua, Edward Rosado, Adonis Perez and Joel Perez. She is also survived by her three great-grandchildren.
