He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dewey Cox and Bertie Belle Cox (Martin); his sons, Michael and Donald Cox; his stepchildren, Jean Sargent and George Kimble; and his daughter-in-law Barbara Carr.
He is survived by: his wife Leoda Fern Carr Cox (Kimble); his son Craig Cox (Barbara) of Keyser; his stepchildren, Paul Carr of McCoole, MD and Debbie Rinker (Mike) of Keyser; and his daughter-in-law Barbara Cox of New Creek, WV. He is also survived by four grandchildren; eight step grandchildren and a large number of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home ~ Keyser Chapel (85 S Main St, Keyser, WV 26726). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
