He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Upton and Vivian Upton (Weikle). He is survived by: his wife Ruth Upton (Moffatt); his children, Greg Upton (Melanie) of White Sulphur, WV, Kara Bray of Summerville, SC, Erik Schneider (Carla) of Kirkland, WA, Anna Campbell (Clinton) of Keyser and Daniel Schneider of Renton, WA; his grandchildren, Dylan, Brandon Upton, Kyla Bray, Lars Schneider, Jack, Lily Campbell, Mollie Shoemaker and Richie Wiltison; his godson Lucas Beeseck; and his cousin Margaret Mann (Weikle).
