She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence "Dewey" and Myrtle Lechliter (Malone); her husband James Luther Newlin; her son Timothy Newlin (Ginny); and her sister Ruth Lechliter.
She is survived by: her children, Roger Newlin (Tricia) of Keyser and Alice Haitsuka (Jon) of Alexandria, VA; her grandchildren, Meredythe Barrick (Brent) of Keyser, Geoff Newlin (Ashlee) of Keyser, Hillary Sabin (Zack) of North Chesterfield, VA, Ian Newlin (Bradley Wuest) of St. Louis Park, MN, Alex Haitsuka (Sarah) of Glen Allen, VA, Katie Brashear (Matt) of Westernport, MD, Emily Sahlin (Matt) of Alexandria and Carleigh Newlin (Veronica Newlin) of Piedmont, WV; and her great grandchildren, Ava Barrick of Keyser, Tucker Newlin of Keyser, Jude Barrick of Keyser, Mack Brashear of Westernport, Harper Newlin of Keyser, Enzo Newlin of Piedmont, Stanley Sabin of North Chesterfield, Natalie Brashear of Westernport and Maya Haitsuka of Glen Allen.
The family also requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Grace United Methodist Church Music Program in honor of her lifelong love of music.
