He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles J. King Sr. and Catherine King (Blizzard); his wife Laura J. King (Kalbaugh); and his siblings, Reva Shirley and Bernard King.

He is survived by: his children, Charles J. King III (Kim) of Keyser, Jarold R. King (Carol) of Keyser and Debra J. Bosley (Dick) of Keyser; his brother James King of Wenatchee, WA; and his grandchildren, Laurie Arnazzi, Erin Pritts, Clay King, Sarah Hudson, Kristi Weasenforth and Tim Woods. He is also survived by his 10 great-grandchildren.
